House Odan-Urr Aedile Report #6

Untitled-3 copy 2

No fiction at this time – Stay tuned for next month and check out the Run-On.

Introduction

Welcome to my sixth report as Aedile for House Odan-Urr (Has it really been that long?) In case you have been living under a rock (Or haven’t read many of the latest reports from our wonderful Dark Council,) this week marks the end of yet another chapter of the Dark Crusades. With the conclusion of this chapter, the end is near for this event as it approaches the last leg of its journey, eventually coming to rest in Ziost and Korriban. As you may have noticed, things are taking a bit of a detour with a longer notice to which planets will be available, as well as a much-needed break until our journey ends. In order to have everyone prepped and properly rested, Raken has announced in his latest report that we will have a two month vacation for some rest and relaxation on the beautiful beaches of Corellian System. If you haven’t read his report already, I highly suggest taking a look at the newly released participation numbers.

With the amount of hard work required during such events, such a prolonged flurry of events can be taxing, though it does provide great opportunities and rewards for those who use them to their full advantage. The positive attitude and growth I have seen in the House over the last few months have been substantial. During this time, we have welcomed such hard working individuals such as Putra and V’yr Vorsa while we strive to achieve the goals our House has had since Ji’s term as Quaestor – To make House Odan-Urr a place for fun and entertainment, and we have succeeded in every way imaginable.

Also, with the huge influx of new, active members as well as character changes, V’yr had been kind enough to establish a House Odan-Urr Run-On. So, if you wish to introduce yourself to us, feel free to jump in here.

Introduction

Character Sheets

Mav, as you know, has been hard at work with fleshing out the Character Sheets. I am still recieving countless emails of new character sheets created by you guys (As well as myself,) and have to say, i’m impressed. Our House is evolving so rapidly that our membership is becoming more diverse by the month, ranging from scruffy-looking scoundrels to former padawans and knights of the New Jedi Order and tree-like Neti. Because of the detail that is contained within these new Character Sheets, we are now able to write accurate portrayals of our friends and enemies, know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. He has recently released yet another report here in which he goes into great detail about some of the new updates to the sheets themselves (Of which I highly reccommend reading.)

Arion has also announced that the old Character Sheets are now available as a limited time offer, you can find the link here, though he notes that the site will be unstable, at best. So, if you need to gather your old descriptions, head on over while you still can!

If you want to practice your writing skills using these sheets as a reference, feel free to join into the forum Run-On mentioned above.

Credits!

Muz has recently released details about a new addition to the site. With help by the coding staff, you can now view your credit history within your dossier admin page. This opens up opportunites to many of the features suggested in the past, and I like to speculate that this might actually shed some light on the posessions system, that has been in the works for longer than I can remember. Check it out! Also, if you see anything missing from your credit history, feel free to contact Howie about it (Howlander for all those who aren’t familiar with the popular nicknames yet.)

Upcoming Events (Teasers!)

While we stand ready for the final chapter of the Crusades, myself and Liam Torun have something planned in the meantime. A hint of what’s to come has already been said in this report. A competition for whoever can find the hidden message is located here.

This event will be a House-wide event, and will feature the Knights of Odan-Urr as they make a bold attempt to find some means to liberate New Tython from the dictatorship under Cy Thuron and his mysterious master. As mentioned, this will be a good time to brush up on your skills as we approach the last chapter of the Crusades, and will run through the months of October and November. Because this event will be hosted in-House, advice will be available upon request. If you are new to the Brotherhood and have questions about any such events, don’t hesitate to ask.

Contributions

I can’t stress how pleased I am with our recent Crusades participation. While we didn’t win the battle at Jaguada, we still kicked considerable amounts of ass. I would like to personally thank Lyze Kiel, who is both the most amazing Battleteam Leader I have had the pleasure of working with, as well as one of our top performers in the Crusades. He is a friend and mentor to all, and I appreciate the scoundrel (Despite how scruffy-looking he may be.)

I would also like to take the time to thank Taigikori for his hard work as Justicar. I won’t go into detail about this, as his dedication as both a former Headmaster and current position as Justicar speak volumes, but it was his determination that led to my discovery and joining of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood three years ago.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Crusades. Without you guys, the Light Side Path would still be considered an ‘experiement,’ and thanks to you, I believe we have succeeded in establishing ourselves as a prominent group with the Brotherhood for years to come. You all have paved the way for future generations who make the ultimate decision to follow the Light Side.

Star Wars easter egg in Star Trek scandal! You heard right. You can find the link here and here.

Star Wars: Force Collection is now available on Android and iOS devices. I can’t say what it truly is before testing it (Which is likely to be soon,) but it appears to be a card game, of sorts. You can find more information on the Star Wars site.

Aedile Report #5

YCHT Arthos

Sith Space

Liam Torun entered the cramped interior of what had once been the luxurious lounge of the YCHT Arthos. Where a massive centerpiece carved from the resilient bark of the wroshyr tree and adorned with its leaves once sat, the interior of the once spacious interior was now a veritable center of operations. Snaking along the floor rested a patchwork of wires and cables, connected to the various panels, consoles and holoprojectors clumped in an inwards-facing ring at the center of the room. Countless intelligence officers of the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force’s Jedi Corps, handpicked by former information trader Captain Allan worked busily at each of their assigned workstations. Situated on a far larger console, the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force’s sole Human Replica Droid relayed orders at blinding speed, limited only by the speed of his processing power cointained within his droid brain.

“Situation contained. Standby for further orders… Jedi Commander Raiju Kang, have your troops prepared for battle.” The droid commanded, switching fervently between both outgooing and incoming channels, sometimes relaying up to ten orders at once across multiple channels. As intelligence officers darted their eyes across statistical readouts, trading information and tracking Brotherhood movements, the High Councillor was able to infiltrate the circle unnoticed. Smiling to himself, he tapped one individual on the shoulder as the man placed his headset off to the side in a hurry to address the most recent Councillor.

“Liam Torun. How are you, my friend? I would invite you to share a drink, but unfortunately, the bar had to be removed to accommodate for the hardware.” The Nagai jested. Signalling for Commander Deo Sol to take over his console, Drodik Va’lence al’Tor moved towards the center of the cramped space. Unfazed by the Nagai’s boisterous behaviour, the High Councillor spoke in hushed whispers, although he knew that the conversation was likely to be overheard by those species with heightened hearing abilities in the room. “How are our operations advancing? Is the militia ready for another conflict?” He asked. All that he heard in reply was the Nagai’s coarse laughter, it had almost seemed vulgar, given the serioussness of the question. Waving his hand with an exaggerated flourish, the Nagai summoned up several rings of technical readouts, updated tactics, fleet formations, and current whereabouts of all militia personnel repeating from the center of the circle that made up the converted space. Careful not to trip over any of the coiled wires beneath his feet, Drodik made his way in a ring around each readout.

“As you can see, our forces have changed their tactics considerably. We have been studying the Brotherhood, noting their own tactics and comparing them against ours. The Human Replica Droid has developed a program that allows us to adopt new strategies, built against the Brotherhood’s vital flaws for maximum effect. Although, without field testing, we can’t say how these new strategies will hold up. We have already begun pairing all of the Knights of Odan-Urr with designated squadrons, all of them highly qualified. Jedi Commanders Raiju and Kaayn are currently in charge of final assessment. They are preparing the militia as we speak. I had originally placed Councillor Morotheri as the head of the ground operations, but with his departure to the Outer Rim, that task now falls to you and General Tur’el.” The Nagai continued for several hours, explaining the various readouts with a few assessments given by the Human Replica Droid, seated next to them as he commanded the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force.

Cutting Drodik off mid-sentence, the Human Replica Droid buzzed a message labelled as urgent across the Arthos’ systems. Scambling to the console for a closer look, Liam Torun read the message as it scrolled across the screen, “Master A’lora Kituri al’Tor has arrived aboard the Arthos from Yavin Four. Liam Torun, Drodik Va’lence al’Tor, please report to the conference room immediately.” Giving the High Councillor a brief moment to pick his jaw up from the floor, Drodik allowed himself the pleasure of a small chuckle, “It seems our newest asset has finally arrived.”

Hospitable Planet

[Location Redacted]

“Master Kaira, the Gioki have returned from their hunt. Our people are starving and most are sick, but we will survive until New Tython is retaken.” A Tythonian assistant announced, stepping into the tent without notice. However, the Jedi had already sensed his presence as she towered over a prone figure lying in a nearby cot, injured during a near-fatal hunting accident the night before. All around her, the weary groans and coughs of those seeking immediate medical attention filled the void of the temporary structure. Administering a salve of crushed herbs and water to an injured Harakoan’s wounded abdomen, she didn’t turn around to greet her visitor. The wounded figure could barely move without feeling a surge of pain though all of his nerves. Wincing as she applied the salve, the gaping hole in his chest continued to bleed a steady stream of crimson. Easing his pain through the Force, she reached into the wound as the Harakoan let out a piercing scream of pain. Removing her fingers from the gaping wound, she set the thick piece of metal aside on a nearby tray with an audible ‘clang.’

Medical supplies were nearly depleted in the temporary settlement, they could only take what they could carry during the evacuation. The population had used up most of what they had brought before being brought to this planet. Bandages, synthflesh, anesthetic, none of these were available as she utilized a variety of local herbs combined with the healing properties of the Force to heal the sick and injured. The Harakoan turned a pale shade of blue as he looked up at the intruder, wincing from the pain of craning his neck. Frustrated with the man’s untimely arrival, Kaira turned around with a fire raging in her eyes. Before she could open he mouth to speak, a shaking hand gripped her arm, drawing her closer as he brough her ear to his mouth.

“Find… My family. New Tython… Save the Tribe.” He barely managed before drawing his final breath. It seemed like minutes as he passed, laying his head back down in its most comfortable position, seeming completely at peace. When his body finally lay still, devoid of the rising and falling of his chest just before he took his final breath, tears welled up in Kaira’s eyes, though she didn’t feel the need to call upon the Force to contain her emotions. Taking a few moments to compose herself, the remnants of teardrops along her cheeks, she turned to the assistant.

“Find the healers, get them over here. We need all the help we can get.” She managed to say, weakly. Soon, the Jedi would be called upon again to the battlefield. Once they were finished, she could only hope that there were enough of them left to retake New Tython.

Introduction

As you probably already noticed, the Crusades is back, once again. We are currently approaching Phase II, Chapter II, which is slated to arrive by the 15th of August. We will be defending the planet of Jaguada, so get your boots polished, armor shined, and blasters set to kill (I mean… stun.) There is a great canonical backstory for the planet (Which can be found on Wookiepedia,) and I’m betting the Dark Council has their own details to provide a unique twist that will surely catch the interest of a Light-Sided faction of Jedi Knights. The Special Forces has been reshuffled, and will be comprised of A’lora (Formerly, Morotheri,) Liam, Tur’el, Raiju, Revak, Rangel, Kaayn and Kaira. We might not be having another Chapter for a while afterwards (I’ll let you know if I get clarification,) so let’s make this one count. We’re counting on you guys, and remember that there are rewards to be had here including Nova, Ribbons, Fleet Points, and a possible spot on the Special Forces. Do what you can to the best of your abilities, and let’s conquer (Or rather, ‘liberate’) ourselves a planet.

AWOL checks have also been completed. If have have been transferred to the Rogues and wish to return to House Odan-Urr, simply request a transfer and we’ll get you back in.

Fictionally within House Odan-Urr, we are currently out battling against both the One Sith and the Dark Brotherhood, fighting against each with guerilla tactics as we sabotage their advances. New Tython is currently under control by Cy Thuron’s mercenary force, and we will work on updating House Odan-Urr’s fiction in the near future. In addition, Morotheri Mithfaron has been sent on a long mission to the furthest regions of the Outer Rim. In his stead, A’lora Kituri al’Tor will now be serving as Aedile of House Odan-Urr. Our militia have evolved their tactics, and are now ready to tackle the Sith, hitting them hard and fast where it hurts most. Although, our militia do require their leaders. Submit to as many events as possible and lead our forces to victory (Should I make that into a wartime poster advertisement? We shall see.)

Current Projects

Regarding current projects, make sure you read up on the many Dark Council reports that are sent out by the Combat Master and Seneshal. Currently, they are both working on the new site itself, as well as Character Sheets. Also, the Brotherhood’s fleet is undergoing an overhaul to make it more in-line with the current Star Wars canon. The Shadow Academy has also overhauled many of their exams and added new ones to the database, so make sure you check those out. Adding to this, the Headmaster does have a few tasks available to those looking for promotions, preferably for those in the Journeyman ranks. If you are interested in helping the Shadow Academy include the Jedi Path into its courses, contact either myself, Kal, Tur’el, or Solari directly (CC’ing either of us in emails doesn’t hurt, either.)

Within the house, the Jedi Vocational Corps will be looked into for updating in the near future. If you plan to help out with Prompt creation, please visit our wordpress site and fill out the form. This particular project allows you to create missions that will be given to members who request to be sent on them to the furthest regions of the galaxy. As Jedi Knights, it is our commitment to help wherever the need arises. In addition, our Wiki pages are in need of updating, most notably the Orders. With the inclusion of the Jedi Orders into the site’s coding, the various Orders (Sentinel, Consular and Guardian) will need their Wiki pages edited to more closely follow the format of the Sith Orders. The Wiki page entitled ‘Light Side Philosophies’ will later be renamed to the ‘Jedi Path’ in order to provide an overview of the Jedi ideals and history within the Brotherhood. If you are interested in any of these projects, contact me.

Off the topic of projects, the site should be back up now, if you haven’t already noticed. So, feel free to submit to any of those fancy, new Shadow Academy Exams whenever you feel the need to earn some thunder from our Headmaster (And your House Summit, no doubt.)

Contributors

No great deed is too small. And in this case, the deeds are great, indeed. I would like to give a massive shout-out to all those who have put forth effort into succeeding to fill up my inbox with Shadow Academy Course emails. Thus, I would like to give a collective thank you to Raiju Kang, Kaayn Salis, Valkish, Rangel and Krandon. This group of badasses is the reason why we will kick ass and take names in the Crusades (Bubblegum is optional.)

Conclusion

Short and sweet. No TL;DR’s here, I apologize. Let’s kick some Sith @$$.

Oh, and before I forget. As promised, more news on the Star Wars front…

For those of you who are fans of both Lego and Star Wars, a three-part animated series is continuing with LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles: Menace of the Sith. You can find the link here.

Also, Star Wars Celebration 2015 is annouced! You can look it up here. Tickets are now available.

Aedile Report #4

No fiction at this time, but you can check out Liam Torun’s report, as well as the Run-On!

Introduction

The Dark Crusades are now concluded for Phase One, as a result our house is now able to get back into the swing of things with something we have not done in far too long…

In Liam Torun’s report, he announced that the house will be returning home after months of sabotaging the Dark Jedi’s efforts in Sith Space. This also means that house fiction is back, and not all is well on the home front. New competitions (hilighted in Liam’s report) are also released, which may be used in the future as house canon, to keep with the pattern we have been using over the last year. A Run-On is also up, in which we must infiltrate Menat Ombo to extract refugees and save them from impending doom. So, get into gear, ready your x-wing, and get ready, because we’ve returned home.

Current Projects

With the Dark Crusades concluded, I would like to thank everyone who has submitted to an event. I was swamped with schoolwork, myself (though I did fit in a few competitions!), but I hope you all had a blast. Once Chapter Three is graded, I will release totals gathered from our house participation. Also, take a look at the new house event, as it had a nice chance to get your submissions included in house canon!

Also, the JVC is still recruiting members for development. Please use the form on the wordpress site to get detailed instructions emailed to you directly.

Future Projects

Dark Crusades may be concluded for Phase One, but Phase Two looms over the horizon. The Jedi will have to get creative to thwart the Brotherhood and One Sith if they are to fulfill their objective.

In addition, house canon will be making a return as the Jedi battle against Cy Thuron and his myserious master, whatever his dark agenda might be…

Contributors

No details at this time. Once the Crusades is graded, I will have something to share with you guys!

Conclusion

There isn’t too much to cover in this report for now. Though, I reccomend checking on the current house event. As always, have fun!

Yhi System

New Tython

Flames licked from the wooden supports of one of the Iwu Gioki’s ancient huts. It’s thatched roof became a roaring inferno as it blackened and singed, eventually caving into the structure as the frayed bindings split. The sounds of blasterfire mixed in with the thundering of archaic weapons and frantic warcries drowned out the crackling of the fires that now surrounded the Harakoan settlement along the northern slope of the Blue Mountains. Despite their superior position and numbers, the Harakoan’s primitive tactics and obselete weaponry nevertheless set them at a massive disadvantage as small tremors appeared to shake the mountain’s very foundations. The distant sound of trees cracking and splintering under the pressure of advancing artillery and state-of-the-art walkers set what remained of the Harakoan people on edge. Those that presevered struggled against the armor-wearing mercenaries as they found themselves trapped, with no signs of reinforcements to save their existance. A deep rumble drowned out all noise as the artillery came within shelling distance of what remained of the Harakoan’s warriors, opening fire as a barrage of turbolasers and missiles darted across the battlefield, scoring large craters in the mountainside when a massive furrow began to split the mountainous walls with a sickening ‘crack’ that had once protected them from the elements. Those that remained paniced, faced with a choice between two very similar fates: Become buried alive, or surrender.

A loud, ear-piercing screech reverebrated through the valley, bouncing off the crumbling stone walls as the constant barrage of artillery ceased. The Harakoans stared back towards the still artillery as a lone figure emerged from a large armored troop transport behind another, his gun raised in a defensive poisition while he reached for a comlink. Offering it to the figure as he passed by, he handed the communications device to the Officer as he climbed upon a 2-M Saber-class Repulsor Tank. Raising the small device to his mouth, his voice became amplified through a dozen loudspeakers temporarily set up around the perimeter on thin metal supports.

“Tribesmen of the Gioki Tribe!” He shouted, the Harakoans with a startled look of apprehension showing behind their nasal crests, “I have been given permission by Commander Feeux to come to you with an offer. He has granted me with instructions to spare the lives of your tribe in exchange for three individuals. The names and dossiers of which my assistant here has been instrumental in compiling.” He pulled out a datapad and raised it over his head for emphasis.

“The names of which are High Cheiftan Whenua, Minister Matiu, and Minister Kiri. Should you accept these terms and surrender these three individuals, you can walk away from this destruction. Resist or otherwise disobey these orders – and your lives are forefit.” A chill made it’s way through the cratered battlefield as the Harakoans remained silent. One individual stood forward, her nasal crest turning a violent shade of red as she spoke,

“And how would you know if we were harbouring any such individuals? Surely, your Commander Feeux would know better than to assume they would all be in the same place.” A round of whispering filled the settling field as Harakoans nodded their disagreements or approval. Not at all taken aback by the outburst, the Officer let himself indulge in a brief, wide smile.

“I say this because,” He began, looking down at her with a burning intensity as her fellow tribesmen backed away, slowly, “Both of these ministers are right now in my sight. As for your High Cheiftan…” He motioned towards his bodyguard. Raising a hand towards the rear of the troop transport, the burly man lowered the door as he reached into the space, pulling out a bruised individual. The stump of one of his arms was adorned with a band of rope. Smiling again, he turned back to her.

“As for you…” He said, before raising the datapad once again – this time it bore the face of the female Harakoan minister, “You will be placed under arrest. Commander Feeux has plans for you.”

Turning to his bodyguard, he relayed a final order before departing, “Leave a message. Take the ministers and a few tribesmen alive. Kill the rest.”

—-

“Reports have come in from all sectors. The Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force can’t handle any more losses, Ministers. Recent data indicates that the Harakoan population have taken heavy losses, some of their key settlements have been destroyed. By my estimates, the mercenaries now have a direct route to Menat Ombo. In addition, we have lost all communication with Harakoan ministers Matiu and Kiri while they were attending one of the Harakoan festivals.” Reported former Imperial Intelligence telemetry Officer, Covell Malric. Accustomed to the behavior expeced of him in the Inperial Navy, Covell stood straight, offering a snap-salute before lowering his arms parallel to hs body. The City Council considered the evidence, whispering among themselves before anyone dared to speak out loud.

“And what would you suggest we do, Commander Deo Sol?” Questioned Minister Jantine Coixette, her face a mixture of anger and puzzlement before fading back into the customary political sabbacc-face. Deo Sol considered his options for a moment, but he already knew that the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force had met their match. In the grand scale they were outgunned, outmanouvered, and for the most part had less experience than the threat they now faced.

Aware of the fact that anything he suggested could set off a planet-wide panic – or worse, he constructed his next words carefully.

“That, I cannot be certain of. I will mobilize our forces and direct them to defend all key settlements and cities. We will conduct regular meetings via the Holonet to trade status reports, battle strategies, and telemetry data. I would also suggest the evacuation of all minor settlements in the Owyhyee region, so we can better manage our military resources.” He suggested. A more heated round of conversation stirred up again, though the Ministers were no longer whispering among each other. Instead, a heated debate began in which they argued between the two obvious choices: Surrendering or fighting. Suddenly, Minister Jantine turned back to face him, the fire of rage in her eyes as she pointed out the inevitable argument.

“And where are the Jedi in our time of need! It is to my knowledge that they are now conquering worlds with the same people that set about conquering ours, not so long ago! They brought these troubles to New Tython, to our home, and where are they now?” She began, her voice so incredibly stern that each of the other Ministers turned to face her, staring in mixed feelings of disappointment and agreement.

“Transmission is hailing us, ministers. Shall I patch them through?” Covell asked, his fingers positioned near the terminal. “Let’s hear what they have to say.” Prime Minister Adrianus Vibilliun replied, his face betrayed none of his emotions. Despite the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force’s rapid disorganization, he managed to stay calm and collective through the entire meeting. Something Covell Malric simply couldn’t understand.

Flickering, the lights dimmed as a hologram was projected onto the table. Instantly, Adrianus lost his previous calmness as it was replaced by shock. The images of tens, hundreds of bodies showed the recent devastation. With a flicker, the image shifted to the tied up forms of all three major leaders in Harakoan society, along with a few dozen other Harakoans.

“Emperor’s black bones…” Jantine managed as she reached to stop the playback.

“Wait.” Prime Minister Adrianus said, catching her hand as he looked into her face while a stream of tears welled up in her eyes, rolling down her cheeks. Turning to the former Intelligence Officer, Adrianus ordered Covell to playback the hologram at half speed. “Stop.” He said, as the hologram paused where the static had been. Barely visible, the image appeared to be of two cloaked individuals, one kneeing at the feet of the other. Struck with a sudden realization, Covell began frantically typing at the console when the image was brought into full focus.

“It’s interlaced with another holo.” He explained, “I’ll see if I can separate them… there.” He said, finishing with a flourish of keystrokes. A short hologram played, different than the one before. This time, the minister could see clearly as the terrible scene unfolded.

“Rise, my apprentice, and let us conquer this pathetic planet. Once they are finished with their ‘Crusade,’ our trap will have been sprung. Together, we will lure the Jedi into the open with our vast promises of bloodshed.” A ghostly voice boomed, his words felt cold and heartless. As the other figure rose, the hologram burst into static. Adrianus Vibilliun seemed to absorb it in grim contemplation for a moment before his concentration was broken by the arrival of a bloodied, panting individual, clad in the garment of the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force.

“Ministers. They’re at the gates.”

Introduction

It’s time for yet another Councillor Report!

The Independence Games are offically over. Most of the events are now graded and have been placed into a new tracking tool I have been working on to track you progress that will be mentioned later in this rather lengthly report.

By now you’re all aware that with Drodik recently stepping down after his year of service to his House, Liam Torun (Kal Vorrac, for those who might know him by the name) has stepped up to fill the role of High Councillor. I would like to personally thank Drodik for his many, many months of service and his great leadership during that period. He is one of my favorite Quaestors to work with, and I am glad to see him remain among the ranks of Odanites. For those who may not know him to well, let me share some brief details about our newest Quaestor:

Liam Torun is currently the Praetor to the Grand Master (In other words, assistant). His skill in managing and reviving houses is greatly valued in the Brotherhood, as well as in House Odan-Urr. At the moment, he has already come up with a ton of organizational plans for better managing the House, as well as new directions for offical House fiction, Crusades strategies, improved communication (You can now find me most days on IRC or Google chat), and the like.

Current Projects

With the Crusades slowly coming back into full swing, I would like to have you all prepared beforehand for the return of the Crusades. A few more fictional reasons as to why we are working with Brotherhood forces is coming up, as well as some new twists to how things are progressing on New Tython in our absence.

Also, we as a Summit have decided to go with Bhargebba for the Chapter Three Crusade. There are a few reasons as to why this hasn’t been opened as a vote to the rest of the House, the core reason being that we have already ‘aided’ the Brotherhood previously with a desert world in the Crusades, so in an effort to mix things up, we have gone ahead and chosen Bhargebba. Keep in mind that a lot will be added to the planet’s lore when Phase One, Chapter Three goes live, so we aren’t invading a blank page.

This will be the last Chapter of Phase One, but the next Phase features a new scoring system. A few members, based off of previous activity (See activity tracking below) will be contacted and placed in a team of eight. If you have been contacted and can guarantee that you will be busy throughout the duration of this Chapter, let us know and we will find a suitable replacement. This Chapter will serve as a warm-up period to determine strategies for the group as we prepare for the next Phase. Phase One, Chapter Three will commence on July the second, so be ready. If you have not recieved an email – don’t fret. The team will occasionally be mixed around based on participation from the previous Chapters. So, if you pour forth enough activity during Chapter Three, you might have a spot in the team for Chapter One of Phase Two. Note that this will in no way diminish the rewards you will gain by participating, should you not be in a team, nor will it diminish house rewards. Nova will have two separate tables for those in, and not in the team during Phase Two, so either way, there will be more chances to take home first place. Kick some ass guys, for Frodo.

As mentioned, house fiction is back in development, with a totally new direction opened that should make things more interesting. The Jedi of Odan-Urr are no longer confined to the role of defenders of New Tython – we are defenders of the galaxy, and the foil to the dark houses of the Brotherhood, so let’s show them what the light side is capable of!

In addition, a new system has been implemented for activity tracking for members, this will help us award those who have shown exceptional activity for their rank. At the moment, I have created an 8-spreadsheet, interlinked excel document that should make things more organized. To help this tracking go smoothly, I highly advise you to fill out the Crusades Activity Tracking (Chapters I and II) form on the WordPress Site if you haven’t already done so.

A few Independence Games events have yet to be graded, but the majority has. So far, I’m liking what I see activity-wise from those who have had the time to participate. More on these individuals is coming up later in this report.

Future Projects

As mentioned earlier (Before I got carried away and already explained most of everything here), the offical house fiction is taking a new turn. As Jedi Knights, we are the foil to those who follow a darker path. In addition, New Tython will have an interesting twist, while turmoil has set in our absence. That’s about all I can mention without giving too much away, but be sure to follow!

We will also be building fictional bridges between us, and the other houses. An event is currently slated for next year, and we are working closely to deliver a quality event with House Scholae Palatinae. Note that with the Crusades going on, this event will not be released until the Crusades are concluded. Things are subject to change, as always, but the proposed event has been agreed upon by both parties. Also, with the massive timeframe for planning, expect a carefully crafted event, complete with a darker plot that will serve to move us forward in this new direction (Unlike our previous feud with Tarentum, we have nearly limitless freedom on our creativity here, so expect something of much, much higher quality).

Also, with competitions on hold until the Crusade is completed, the Jedi Vocational Corps has been placed back out of beta for the meantime. This, however, means that we are able to continue it’s development. Unlike the previous months of it’s development, it has been decided that we are opening the Jedi Vocational Corps development to you guys!

What does this mean, you might ask. It means that with your assistance, the Jedi Vocational Corps will be undergoing an overhaul to make it fit better in-line with the new direction that we are taking the house fiction. Mostly, we are looking for prompt-creators, people who can create a handful of prompts that may be assigned to individuals once it goes live again. This will open up avenues for more rewards, teamwork, and insight to the management of various projects.

Aedile Report #2

Untitled-3 copy 2

Staring deep into the pitch-black void of space, Morotheri stood alone in silent contemplation, his gaze fixed on the transparisteel viewport as he reflected on the events that had led up to this. A familiar presence inveloped him, despite the Shroud’s darker nature. It was a gamble taking up the Brotherhood’s invitation to participate in the Independence Games, for one wrong miscalculation could result in a catastrophe that would result in the obliteration of the vast majority of Urrian Knights. Thankfully, the navigational coordinates provided had proved to be trustworthy – for the most part. Dodging the worst of the ionized particles making up the deadly nebulous Shroud, the small, rag-tag fleet of House Odan-Urr pressed ever onwards closer to their destination. Inclining his head, Morotheri turned his attention to the soothing presence radiating from across the lounge.
“Sight, do you wish to speak to me?” He inquired, his gaze still transfixed on the imposing surface of Antei. While they had navigated the Shroud – although with great difficulty, a great lightning storm – the result of years of Sith Sorceries flared across the sky in violent bursts of electricity. Taking a moment to absorb the terrible image, Sight continued to relay his message.
“Antei is hailing us. At the moment, our fleet is relaying our transponder codes and awaiting instructions for landing. If I may, what is it we hope to accomplish? We should be liberating the planets under Brotherhood control while they are otherwise engaged.” He asked, his red eyes darting across the viewport, “What’s to stop the Brotherhood from letting us leave? For all we know, this could be a trap.”
The last remark sent a shiver down the Miraluka’s spine before he was able to bring his emotions under control, “Our goal here is to earn the respect of the Brotherhood’s other Houses, to some degree. At the moment, we lack allies, and if we manage to win at the Brotherhood’s own games, we will acquire some of the influence we need. As for our departure, the Brotherhood needs us, more than they know…”
His explaination was cut short as the figures of both Raiju and Elleron stood at the doorway. Elleron was the first to speak, “We have the landing instructions. All ships should be on the surface within the hour.” He informed before brining his attention to the pale, white-haired man, “Don’t worry Sight, the Brotherhood would be doing themselves a crippling blow in their ‘Crusade’ by holding us hostage here. Remember that a Jedi fears not, lest we succumb to our emotions.” He concluded before stalking out of the room.
Raiju stood at the doorway as the Nautolan gestured towards the airlock, “Let’s show these Sithspawn what we’re made of.”

Introduction

While there isn’t much going on locally within the House, there are a few things worth covering in this brief report. Firstly, I would like the formally thank everyone who has taken time so far to participate in the Independence Games. Despite the fact that (Canonically) Jedi themselves desire nothing in return for their efforts, remember that rewards are in abundance here, both for yourself as an individual and for the House as a whole. Also, if you haven’t already participated in the Independence Games, there is still plenty of time left to get in your submissions. James has already taken the liberty of advertising various events with a distinct lack of participation, which means easier crescents for you guys!
I also apologize for my recent lack of communication, things have been busy this week for me, but rest assured that next week will yield more time I have to dedicate to you guys, and the Independence Games. In addition, your feedback is appreciated. I will be releasing a brief survey for you all to participate in on our WordPress site with the conclusion of the Independence Games, so keep an eye out for it! I’ll be releasing additional details with the conclusion of the Independence Games.
Introduction
In addition, our two Battleteams are doing exceptionally well. If you haven’t already joined one, I would highly advise to consider it. I can’t express how much I value Raiju and Kal’s leadership and management skills. Well done, guys!
Also, the combined efforts of Raiju, Revak, and Kaira (Let me nkow if i’m missing anyone!) have yielded a great boon for us in House Odan-Urr. With such an influx of great new members, our numbers have swelled dramatically over the last few months. A hefty portion of these members are also extremely active, providing us with an even greater chance of success in the Dark Crusade, as well as bringing us one step closer to clanning. Please take a moment to congratulate these members for their combined (And terriffically awesome) efforts!
Be sure to congratulate everyone on their submissions and activity during the Independence Games. At the moment, it seems that our House is tearing up the Games like no tommorrow. Keep it up!
Did I already mention that our House kicks ass?!
Introduction
That’s about it guys. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work going on that isn’t quite ready to discuss, but I will let you all know that you’re in for a pleasant surprise in the near future. Make sure to participate in the Independence Games!

The Arthos

Hyperspace

The tunneling beauty of hyperspace travel lulled the Nagai Councilor into a fight for his senses. Trading the cold of Khar Delba for the cold of space provided no other benefit than survival for the moment. He sat at the control panel of The Arthos awaiting the ships emergence into its next objective. Somewhere ahead in the mists of hyperspace travel were the inhabitants of the Jedi District, the Odanites stowed within their Gallofree transports, defensless for all but a handful of squadrons. The Disciples of Urr, the surviving first, second and third generations of the Padawans of Ji; ‘What were they doing? Who were they? Where are they going? He thought to himself.

The coldness seemed to  seep back into the Nagai as he found himself pondering on the deceased Gand and the legacy of Jedi within the Iron Fist. He reminisced on the day at the Abbey and the horrors unresolved on New Tython.

‘What are we doing here?’ he further questioned, the lull of sleep proving to be a fearsome adversary. What were they doing? They were weak, outnumbered and undersupplied to offset the conquest of the Brotherhood.

His datapad flickered as he read a short status update from Commander Deo Sol:

Entry XX—45- Commander Sol to Councilor Va’lence:

City calm, surrounding homesteads report no further incursions by roaming mercenary force;  KUDF patrols remain on alert.

Presidium met with New Dawn delegates 3 days prior; settlement recognized as Blackslope Glen, Commander Abuli en route as escort.

Harakoan tribal leaders from Gioki demand additional conference with Jedi Council; issue of supernova now causing distress in southern plains tribes.

He clicked off the datapad casting it off to the side while he got up to stretch his legs. The short list became a growing concern in his minds’ eye whilst he meditated on the issue. Flashes of the situations danced in his head in a bid to resolve the problems. With the Jedi absence the people could find their stride and identity in the midst of maintaining their sovereignty.

Was it worth the risk? Could KUDF survive further skirmishes? Surely the militants had seen the ships head toward the Sanctuary from Odain, they must know of the Jedi absence. The alarming quietness of New Tython subsided as the ship came out of hyperspace and the sight from the cockpit guaranteed no such promise of sleep now.

General Address

Greetings Odanites,

You did good this round guys! Honestly I want to say the amount of teamwork, communication and quality of entries was astonishing, really proud of everyone. We had 26 entries, that’s a whole ten more than Chapter 1 which is a badass feat in its own right. The submissions for Chapter 2 had us as a unit average out to .70 overall participation; I say good job now, I’ll say “great job” when we hit at least a full 1.0. We can do it, we have the people, presence and integrity and potential for all the badassery in the DB-verse. Lets do it homies!

Dark Brotherhood News

Dark Crusades, Indpendence Games und Yooo

Dark Crusades’ latest installment is finished, Chapter 3 will pick up in May. I’d like to congratulate the winning units, your performance was awesome to witness. A big congratulations to Plagueis as well, as a former Plagueian it’s still nice to see the old unit do well.

With Dark Crusades finished, the Independence Games will be taking the place of Chapter 3. For newer people: If you’re not familiar with the IG’s I’ll explain really quick:The Independence Games are competitive series of events much like you would find in a regular vendetta. The games are meant to commemorate the Exodus, an event which marked the beginning of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as an entity independent from the Emperors Hammer into the present day. The IG’s are meant as a time to honor and celebrate the successes of its founding and that of its members past and present. Given that this is the tenth year of Independence it goes to be a special event marked with member created/hosted events. Given from the powers that be, if you reached eligibility to host an event make sure you get your submissions in by or before the 3rd of April.

The Independence Games will begin Apr.13th and run for two weeks. As a word of warning there will be a maximum of 84 events for you to participate in, so unless you’re truly confident I wanna say pace yourself for Chapter 3 because we won’t have a full two weeks to rest up for the next run of Crusades.

House Odan-Urr News

Recognition

While Jedi aren’t exactly supposed to relish on medals and achievements, the need to recognize key members of Odan-Urr who have proved themselves as pillars of the community has arisen. The following members have demonstrated themselves outstanding in the eyes of their leaders and their peers for their works, deeds, and feats. Without them many successes would not have manifested. For your undying loyalty to your fellow Odanite and to the force, House Odan-Urr commends you all. Thank you and congratulations:

Morotheri- Promotion to Equite 3 & Gold Nova, chiefly awarded for services to House Odan-Urr for well over the past year as a top notch summit member and a first place graphics submission in Chapter 2.

Raiju Kang– Recipient of the Grand Cross of the (not-so) Darkside.

Kaira Rohana– Recipient of a Steel Cross

Sight Nortorshin– Recipient of a Dark Cross

Newbodies!!

Welcome to all the new members! We’ve had a ton of newbodies joining us fresh from the SA and from the Rogues. Major congratulations go out to Raiju, Kaira, and Revak who undertook a much needed and much appreciated recruitment drive.

Jedi Strike-Teams

The Strike-Teams (Jedified version of “battleteams”?, try it on yeah?) in the spirit of experimentation have undergone another dramatic revision. In the vein of giving the team leaders the opportunities to generate activity in the house each has been given full license to coordinate the successes within their respective units. As of now the two teams are open to new recruits, contact the unit leaders for specifics on the teams and joining:

Commander of the Knights of Allusis- Raiju Kang

Commander of Strike-Team Ooroo- Liam Torun

Fleet Points

Earned points from Horizons through Chapter 2 have been added and put into our Fleet Bank. For the newer guys and review: House Odan-Urr being relatively new and small in terms of in-universe strength decided as a unit at the end of Horizons to bank all of our points to the point that we can invest in a full strength starter fleet consisting at minimum 1 full-sized capital ship, supporting vessels, and additional squadrons.

Participation activity and quality submissions raise the promise that we’ll earn more points to spend on our Order Of Battle. The more events that our unit participates in (example:  Dark Crusades or the Independence Games) earns us more points to spend and thusly our in-universe military possessions and strength grows. If you need extra incentive to contribute for this fund I encourage you to look at our meager forces compared to larger units…oh yeah.

If you have questions, concerns, whatever just contact me.

Closing

You may have noticed that my report doesn’t look so drab and dull. Normally I never use the words drab or dull but they kept getting tossed my way after each and every text wall report. So I contracted a badass known to all as Eiko who did me a major favor by making up some awesome headers and separators, thanks man!

On another note I wanna get sappy and say that I’m proud of this unit and feel fortunate I’m able to do this with you guys. I don’t think in the history of my own membership I’ve ever been among such esteemed company. Lets do some IG’s and Crusading and I’ll see you at Jebbis for a drink!

Dark Crusade Phase I, II

OdanUrr

House Odan-Urr High Councilor Report

Krayiss II- Badlands outside Darth Zash’s Outpost
The hum of the sublight engines radiated out as the Disciples of Urr boarded their vessels. In the distance toward the massive library the figures of Arconan elite watched as the Jedi troupe prepared to disembark.

At the foot of the loading ramps the Jedi of Urr took themselves into formation. The light from the interiors of the shuttles spewed out illuminating the grounds whilst the systems star settled into the horizon.

Among the front tier stood Raiju with his Knights Of Allusis: Kaira, Stefan, Rangel and Odan-Urrs newest Jedi Knight Revak Kur. Accompanying them to their right stood more familiar faces: Mar Sul, Krandon, and the newest arrivals Liam, Doku, Sight, and Rilis.

“The dark side has gained yet another foothold in the galaxy.” spoke the High Councilor. “It was a preventable gain, but there are others. If we are to prevent disasters in the same caliber as the Invasion of New Tython we must remain vigilant, and true to the pursuit of balance lest we succumb to the power of aggression and anarchy that is the unrelenting pitfalls of the dark side!” He exclaimed.
A gust of hot arid wind pushed through the plain throwing sand and grit into the scene.

The setting star’s last glimmering ray extinguished leaving the Odanites bathed in shadow against a backdrop of various illuminated fuselages.

“Khar Delba is our destination. It is there that our efforts must be focused on preserving a balance in the force. Jedi Crusaders, march carefully and may the force be ever with you.”

High Councilor Address:
With the Vendetta upon us I need to stress the importance of community and solidarity. House Odan-Urr is in a fight for survival believe it or not. Our unit has the potential to undermine the entire war effort of the Dark Brotherhoods Crusade on Sith worlds. These planets are host to a history rich in Sith domination and exploitation. It is our duty to find a balance both in ourselves, the often grey/lightsided Order of Urr, and in the force. I am speaking both in terms of in-character and RL.

I am aware that RL takes precedence over DB life and in no way would I ever expect from any of you to do that. That’d be insane. But what I am asking of you is that you push yourselves, not for personal gain but for the gain of your fellow housemates and for the advancement of House Odan-Urr. These people on the Odan-Urr roll are your DB Brothers and Sisters, they are your housemates, your team and fellow Jedi.
We are the DB’s underdogs guys, that’s a pretty sweet position to be in, we’ve got the element of surprise.

Jedi stuff aside, everyone likes gaining prestige especially among their peers. We can do this guys, we have everything and more to gain.

In the past few months I’ve made many promises, plans, and projects to fit the scope of a clan; an actual clan structure and template for the bigger stuff down the road. Now is the time to focus on the smaller things and fill in the gaps. Clanning will not be easy, but getting there will be enjoyable. Ji, and Solari and co. were in effect the founders of House Odan-Urr, they set us on the map but it’s you the Jedi, the badass Odanites who will be the true founders of Clan Odan-Urr. Its on the shoulders of all of us, to live up to our creeds and purpose and carve a piece of the Sith Empire in the name of peace, popcorn and lightsaber battles.

There are Sith worlds faced with futures as Dark Brotherhood territories under the burgeoning influence and spread of the Dark Throne. The Brotherhood and associated worlds are likewise brought into the fold of calamity and darkness for which a balance must be preserved.

I call on you Odanite, and dub thee a Jedi Crusader, to take up arms to liberate and safeguard the worlds from the Brotherhood war-machine.

Crusade fellow Odanites, for the advancement of peace and equanimity throughout Brotherhood space. If the light is to prevail amidst this darkness then it is we who have the power to curb the might of the Dark Side.

-High Councilor Drodik Va’lence

Welcome New Members!
Hey! Everyone extend a welcome to our newest lighties: Doku, Sight, and Rilis. Thanks to Raijus awesome recruitment drive these guys will be joining us just in time for Chapter 2 to start. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the summit or anyone.

Dark Crusades and You!: The next few sections I’ll speak on some specific topics concerning the Jedi Crusaders and Dark Crusades.

HOU Participation:
Participation numbers from HOU during Chapter 1 were nothing to write home about. It does us no good to banter on about that, but what we can do is accept the numbers objectively and learn from it for Chapter 2. There were a total of 16 submissions from Odan-Urr. That averaged to a little under 1 submission per person, its not good but on the plus side other units placed comparatively with us.
Success in these first few chapters is immediately directed by participation numbers. If you can manage to submit a minimum of 2 submissions, even that small amount collectively does enough to push us past other units by a respectable margin.
We’ve got a good pace so far, we’re not burnt out by far so I know we’re capable of this my friends. Its just a matter of timing and spirit.

HOU’s Dark Crusades Submissions:
Apart from meeting the criteria for a quality submission as designated by a particular event, I need to remind you all to also CC the email address houseodanurr@gmail.com when making your final submission per event. This helps us know who is participating and how much effort we can reward you for after the chapter as well as covering your tracks in the event of some error.
Consider it activity tracking. We will be monitoring this account religiously from here on out so feel free to use it to your discretion.
Dark Crusades Proof-Readers and General Tipsters-
If you’d like to have an entry proof-read or you need general feedback for a submission of any sort you can reach the summit either personally or at the house email.
Anyone can assist with this also, so far Kal err…Liam Torsun has expressed willingness to proof read as well as our awesome BTL Raiju. All you need to do is reach out and ask, that’s what housemates do for one another.
Last call for run-un teams:
Run-On Teams Plan A-
Minimum team requirements are 5 per team. So far we have established 7 volunteers broken up into two teams which still need to reach capacity. Plan A necessitates an additional 3 volunteers.
Teams for Plan A are:
Team 1- Morotheri, Raiju, Mar Sul, [Blank], [Blank].
Team 2- Drodik, Liam Torsun, Kaira, Krandon, [Blank]
Run-On Teams Plan B-
If we do not manage then we can condense volunteers for the highest opportunity of success using the houses fiction writing heavy hitters together. Think of it like Odan-Urrs version of The Expendables hehe 😀

Communication and Recruitment Drive:

Project: Wolfpack-
You may have noticed an air of community starting to build back up again 😀 We’ll have you handing out flowers to the DB in no time ya hippies. But no, in reality I recently assigned our summit members to reach out and and say hey to you. We’re just as much members as you guys and it helps to know the people we are in a house with on a closer scale. I thought this would be a great opportunity to rally the house and reign each other in for cooperation and community sake you know?

And that brings me to my next point:

I want request of you guys, to consider not only how you can help Odan-Urr but how you can help your fellow housemates. By participating in what I called Project: Wolfpack I found that if the summit maintains contact with our cell of Odanites, and if those Odanites maintain contact with at least one or more people of their choosing, then we’re basically networking. Its so simple and fundamental that the basics of it were completely overlooked unfortunately.
So my request is that you consider partnering up and communicating with a fellow Crusader that way we all keep up with each other as a team so no one gets left behind. Fictionally we can do some ‘Concord of Fealty’ type partnerships in our fictions to take that kind of component of Jedi culture in with us.
So yeah, it’s a pay it forward type situation where we all network with each other, yeah? Just a thought, and yes ‘Wolfpack’ as in Zack Galinafilackikus.

Social Media: House Twitter/Email/Wordpress/Facebook/Tumblr?

Raiju has done a major plus for the house and set-up an official Twitter for House Odan-Urr (@HouseOdanUrr) We can use this to do some communication or recruitment, who knows maybe the Menat Presidium might drop in (#menatpresidium) for a quip.

While we’re getting onto the topic of social media….

Social media is there for the advantage, that’s basically it. The DB is basically one big social media activity, so we’re gonna branch out and communicate with future Jedi Crusaders on Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter for starters.

Invite to join Google+ Hangout Nights:

Tonight beginning at around 8 PM EST, Raiju and I will be on IRC and at 11 PM EST on Google+ Hangout counting down to the beginning of Dark Crusades Chapter 2. Come join us and lets hangout 😛

Ellerons Battleteam:
Ellerons battleteam which exemplifies the Living Force philosophical tenets has been officially named Qui-Gons Mercy. Spots are still open for membership, contact Ell.

Outro:
There are amazing opportunities up for grabs. This is all meant to be fun so don’t stress, just handle it one event at a time and you got it. Also, if anyone can point me in the direction of report programming and illustrated headers, I’d like to make this report my last and final wall of text in that sense. Thanks and may the force be with you all.
